Properties of Play marks Playing With Reality’s second full production.

After discovering the work of Dr. Stuart Brown (Play, published by Avery Trade), it was clear that our style directly correlates to his 7 properties that encompass all forms of play:

- Play is apparently purposeless (done for its own sake)
- Play is voluntary
- Play has an inherent attraction value
- Play creates freedom from time
- Play creates a diminished consciousness of self
- Play has improvisational potential
- Play has a continuation desire

Related studies consistently show the importance of play throughout our lives. We figured instead of reading about it, or watching others have all the fun, why not experience it for yourself?

As with THIS IS STORYBOX, we invite 3 audience members to step onstage and play the protagonist. Properties of Play differs by presenting the work on a traditional stage.
